The girls are coming into a very beautiful relationship with us and each other. They have really learned how to play well together. Their favorite game to play is mother and daughter, and they switch roles. They have many friends, all shared, which I love. Some of the most important people in their lives in South America are Chula/Ambar, Viole, Guidai, the kids at Isa's school, and the kids at jardin, especially Julian. In North America they keep a close relationship with Stella, Katharine, Abby, Amelia, Madeline, the Daly kids, and the kids of the Dennehy girls. We get together with friends with kids often, and it's lovely to have such a lively community in this new home. The girls both speak Spanish well enough to totally function in their respective roles. They love to play in the bath. Vivian naps once a day in the afternoon and Isa dropped naps years ago, but sometimes falls asleep on long car rides. Isa is excelling at making friends at school. Her personality is very girly. She loves fashion and loves being the center of attention. Her musical and creative abilities are astounding. Vivian is both fiery and sweet. She loves to cuddle and loves to be held, but also loves to have her way and is very clear about what she wants when she wants it. She doesn't throw fits, but she communicates very effectively. She is also open to compromise if there's some reason she can't have what she wants, but Pat says she sometimes is 'pure Leo (her astrological sign).'
